Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

The Elite Show Community (“The Elite Show”, “we”, “us”) is a community based in Kochi, India, run by The Elite Show. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It follows India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

2. What we collect

We only collect what you type into our forms, plus what is needed to take a payment:

• Members: full name, phone (WhatsApp) number, email, age group, city and state, what you do (role), topics you care about and how you’d like to take part.
• Mentors, investors and collaborators: name, phone, email, organisation, an optional profile link and your message to us.
• Coming soon sign-ups: name and WhatsApp number.
• Premium members: your membership ID, subscription status and payment records (amount, date, Razorpay payment and subscription IDs). We never see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank details. Razorpay handles those.

We don’t use advertising cookies or tracking tools. Your browser may keep small settings (like whether you have already seen an animation) on your own device.

3. Why we use it

• To add you to the community and our WhatsApp groups, and to tell you about Saturday sessions, daily discussions, Elite Brew meetups and workshops.
• To set up, renew and manage your Premium membership and to send you the Premium group link.
• To reply to mentors, investors and collaborators who reach out.
• To keep the community safe, and to meet our legal, tax and accounting duties.

By submitting a form you agree to this use. You can withdraw that consent any time by writing to us (see section 7).

4. Where it’s stored and who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services we use to run the community:

• Google (Google Sheets and Apps Script): stores form sign-ups.
• Supabase: stores Premium member and payment records, on servers in Mumbai, India.
• Razorpay: processes Premium payments and subscriptions under its own privacy policy.
• WhatsApp (Meta): when you join a community group, other group members can see your name and number.
• Vercel: hosts this website.

We may also share data if the law or a government authority requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data while you are part of the community. If you leave or ask us to delete it, we remove it within 30 days, except payment records, which we keep for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.

6. How we protect it

Only community admins can see sign-up and member data. Our member database is locked so the public website cannot read it, and admin access needs an emailed code and a password. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect your data.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you messages. Email theeliteshow0@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, or tell us the phone number you used, and we will reply within 7 working days.

8. Children

The community is meant for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, please get permission from a parent or guardian before you sign up or pay for Premium. If a parent tells us their child signed up without permission, we will delete the child’s data.

9. Grievance officer

For any complaint about how we handle your data, contact our Grievance Officer, Azvan Sait, at theeliteshow0@gmail.com. We will acknowledge it within 48 hours and try to resolve it within 30 days.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Big changes will also be shared in the community groups.
